Kev's class completes a read-a-thon challenge, but with a logbook tracking their progress stolen and their pizza party at risk, the class holds a mock trial to catch the thief; Nancy and Marisol devise a plan to save their endangered hospital.

Nancy and Henry head to Baltimore to reclaim their Spades glory from years past, and find their relationship spark reignited; nervous Kev gets the attention of a girl, and Richard's plans to spend a quiet weekend with Miss Green are crashed.

Nancy freaks on her birthday when she learns she's not turning 39, but 40; her friend Loretta arrives to take her out for one last crazy night; Kev and Henry trail them to keep Nancy away from other men; Richard helps Robert make a prison cake.

Bittersweet Charity

Nancy offers to watch Dirty Dante, and finds she enjoys mothering the grateful kid; Kev takes advantage of Nancy being distracted and gets into trouble staying out late; Richard suspects Miss Green is losing interest in him since he's gone straight.

Sink or Swim

Kev starts a swim team with new kid Brian; Nancy hosts a dinner for Coleman to discuss the growing crime problems; surprising Nancy, Henry also arrives for dinner to win her back; more folks crash the dinner, leaving Nancy frantic as chaos ensues.
